Alisson Robichaud was a no-brainer when we were planning our workshops. Elizabeth spent a day plien air painting with this wonderful character. You will enjoy his wit and wonderfully, inspiring personality.

The following is a generalized outline about and what the workshop will look like, and the desired outcome from students.
“Weather should be great, remember this plein air, which means weather is never a concern, therefore prepare for whatever will be by checking the forecast and dress accordingly. Make a small check list and bring umbrellas for rain or shine”
Saturday morning: Introductions, discussions, (any questions, ASK!) Very short discussion on my palette slipping into colour ideas. Set ups, composition and picking a motif.
Quick demonstration of my way of working, which will not be for the student to copy, but for the student to appreciate the speed one can work on the landscape, no more than a half hour.
Asking questions is a big part of any Workshop, from me and from your peers, don’t be shy, everyone is a beginner the moment he or she steps in front of a new canvas.
EXPECTATION FROM STUDENTS:“A MINIMUM OF 2 PAINTINGS DURING THE DAY. - Three from students who have more painting experience.”
My Palette: Cad Yellow light, Yellow Ochre, Cad Orange, Alizarin crimson, or rose madder, Mineral violet, Ultramarine Blue, (light) Indigo, Blue Grey, (Royal Blue) Raw Umber, Chromium Oxide Green, Titanium White.
My choice of colours Holbien- Brushes – varied.
Student Requirements work in oils, any medium you wish to use, do so, there is no one medium better than others, there are preferences, that’s all.
THINK IN TERMS OF COMPLETING, NO LESS THAN 2 PAINTINGS AND IF YOU CAN MANAGE 3
